We all have a picture or ourselves that we hate. We all have pictures of us that we have destroyed because we knew it was a terrible picture. No doubt, my great grandma felt the same way about this picture. It is a nice picture of my great grandpa though!

And this…

The back
My nana and her family were all very funny. I remember the banter that would go back and forth.
I especially love this picture. My great grandparents love for their family and community was strong. In a age when a pregnant daughter was left to fend for herself, they accepted and loved their daughter all the more. In this picture, one of my Nana’s sister’s sits so easy and relaxed with her dad. I love how her arm rests on his knee. Indeed, pictures do speak a thousand words.
Audrey was NOT happy about that bathing suit, was she? Poor little thing.
And you are exactly right about that last picture. Those are three people who really care about each other.
These are beyond precious. And I loved the messages on the back nearly as much as the photos themselves. I tell a lie. I love the messages just as much as the photos.
The messages sure capture the writer’s personality. I love them just as much too. Maybe more.
Hahahahaha, these are great!
I enjoyed the first one the most! Nice to be able to capture the gist of a teasing relationship so many years out.
Beautiful photos, and humour is great! 🙂
Love it!
These are fun! Old photos are priceless. That last one is a real gem.
This is the cutest post. Love the pics and the notes on the back are priceless.
I love seeing these old pictures of your family and hearing their stories. My mom painstakingly sewed my older sister and I two pink wool dresses. I’m sure she thought they were a good idea the only problem was they were so itchy my sister and I could only wear them for one picture and then we never wore them again. I’m sure my mom still has that picture somewhere. I wonder what she remembers about those dresses.
Oh my gosh, these are fantastic! Thank you for sharing them with us!
