A Break

I am going to take a bit of a blogging break. The new “care model” at work is not about caring at all. It’s mostly about getting more done in less time.  Previously I saw 5 or 6 people in 6 hours. Now I have at 8 or 9.  I’m tired. When I get home I have no energy to write a post or read blogs.  I’m pretty stressed. And very tired.  Oh, well. I am hoping to get accustomed to it.  It will all work out. 🙂

  1. Wow. That blows. How in the world will you see twice as many patients? Is anything going to be cut out to help you?

Come back when you’re ready. I will miss you. ❤

  2. I know what you’re feeling, Birdie. Take a rest. Refresh yourself and enjoy the sun when you can – and I hope that is often.
I’ll be thinking of you xoxo

  3. Hi Birdie. It’s Joanne. I want you to know I’ve been reading but just not commenting. I understand your need for a break tho I will miss your posts a lot. I’ve been in the hospital for almost 2 weeks and it got me out of myself to read your blog and my usual others. I wish you rest and peace and live❤️

  4. Stupid government! Makes me mad when they make cuts for the people who need the services the most. Not only does it mean they don’t get the services but the good people who work the jobs to deliver the services are once again left not being able to do a proper job and doing too much work. I hope things improve and you are able to blog again soon Birdie, you will be missed.

  5. Take care of yourself and know that you’ll be missed until you return. That schedule is so unfair. Hugs.

  6. Please don’t over do. If it’s too much tell the boss, no sense in burning yourself out. I hope you’ll be back to blogging soon dear.

  7. Sorry to lose you but it makes complete sense…only it doesn’t…we have to get on an do our jobs and deal with terrible conditions and expectations in the care professions. It’s heartbreaking and takes it’s toll on the employees and clients. No time for anything else. That’s why I’m not here blogging more but I’m hoping to get control of this very soon. We will miss you. Take good care of you in all of this won’t you. Xx

  8. Dear Birdie, as the days and weeks continue, please be gracious to yourself as you are being now. Peace be to you, pressed down and overflowing.
