Two Days Gone

I had an Violence Prevention course on Friday at work and I knew I was getting sick. By bedtime it was a full blown stay-in-bed cold. I stayed home from work yesterday and today. Today around 4:00 I decided to get out of bed because my room was full of sick air and the bed was in a rumpled mess. It is very important for me to have my bed nice and neat and smooth. Time to get up and open the bedroom window and straighten the bed. Now I am up and going to have something other than soup and then I will have the hottest bath I can stand and go back to bed. Tomorrow I will go to work but then I am on my two days off.  That does mean I will have to wear a mask when I am around clients. They were not made of comfort. Oh, well.

Do you know what I did during the last two days besides sleep? Watching  a Netflix series called The Grand Hotel. It is completely in Spanish and it is all in subtitles. It is actually very good! Not as good as Downton Abbey but still good enough to hold my attention.

Our Christmas tree is up but not decorated.  Who knows when it will get done. Tomorrow or Tuesday, I guess. My guess is it smells like pine needles in here but I can’t smell anything.

  1. Birdie, it sounds like you enjoyed this series! In response to your question on my blog today, I have a cat. He is two and a half years old, black and white with green eyes, and has a white “diamond” shape on his forehead. His name is Romeo. 🙂

Take care of yourself, dear Birdie. Sending you a warm hug.

    • Have you ever had a picture of him on your blog? I would love to see him! 🙂

  2. Ugh, sorry to hear you were sick and hope you feel good as new soon. We had the stomach flu and colds and sinsusitis visit us recently and are still wiping runny noses. Tis the season, eh? Hope you can enjoy the pine tree smell soon 🙂
