Clouding Over

I woke up this morning to a day that looked so promising but now it is pouring rain.

OK, I started writing that sentence about 30 minutes ago. It had been a beautiful sunny day, then it was pouring rain and now it is just cloudy. Ah, life on an island in a rain forest. Always pack an umbrella. But that is not true. Rarely do I see people with umbrellas. I have a huge rainbow one in my car but rarely use it. You just put our head down and wait for the storm to pass.

Again, I walked away from my laptop to do… something, I don’t remember what and now I am back again about two hours later. In that time I did a couple of loads of laundry, cleaned the bathroom, dug up bluebells in the pouring rain in vegetable garden and weeded the flowers gardens.  I took out the garbage and compost, scrubbed the compost bucket and setup a no-fee new bank account because I am sick of paying $150.00 a year in fees to use my own fucking money!

Remember I mentioned a client gave me a spider plant but Norbert was trying to kill it? Well it is actually growing like the figurative weed.  There is no doubt in my mind that he has not finished with his murderous rampage but I think the little plant has now established a root system.

Since I started writing this post again it is clearing out and the sun is trying to dry things up a bit. I still have to pick up my daughter at school, go to the library and stop at Costco and try not to spend $300.00.

  1. You are having a day like mine, except it isn’t raining…Enjoy the library and best of luck at Costco…Groceries are a mint these days…

  2. What’s your favorite thing to get at Costco?

Wow, on the banking fees. That’s nuts.

Glad to hear the plant is growing back. Life finds a way.

Not much new to report as I rested the entire day. Didn’t get to make chicken meatballs, but there’s an organic whole bird in the, as we speak.
